BAND CAMP 20068 June - 9 Junethe camp which we, the sec threes dared not look forward to since sec one, had finally arrived.
and now, it's finally OVER!
yay!

we organised this camp.
everything went out pretty well i guess.
day games was okay.
me, simin and peiting were the game masters for one of game station called the "human tic tac toe".
each group was supposed to play against us.
they had to use their body to form a circle or a cross whereas the three of us only needed to use our shoes to represent a circle or a cross.
we would play five rounds of tic tac toe.
if they won, they would get a coupon from us.
if they lost, they had to surrender one coupon and do us a forfeit.
haha as more groups got by, tic tac toe got really boring so we decided to play two rounds of hai dai.
it was fun la.
but i think other game stations were more fun.
how i wished i could play too. =)
then we had chicken rice for lunch.
then band prac.
mr ong was really boring.
i almost ended up falling asleep on my euphonium. X)
then it was bathing time.
bathed at the gym toilet there.
then had pizzas for dinner.
i guess i was still feeling calm with a bit of nervousness, knowing that noms would be starting in few mins' time.
at least i could enjoy eating my pizza.
furthermore, i had heard elaine saying that i most likely would be in the first group.
grr..
then it was finally starting.
the sec threes walked into the music room with our own instrus.
the atmosphere was very tensed.
yiling announced our groupings.
indeed i was in group one with jacq and sushuen.
the situation at that time was really hard to describe.
i had very mixed feeling which made me feel like crying.
i dunno took how long when i finally managed to get my feet out of the room.
then the three of us slowly made our way to the forum with the accompany of yiling.
tried to get some last min tips from her, then our nightmares arrived.
shall not mention the whole procedure and how everything went.
it was just one word 'scary'.
when u were down there, ur mind totally went blank.
dunno how many no of eyes staring at u doing drills, commanding, answering qns and sight reading in front of them.
u had no idea how long it took.
u just did what u were told to do.
u had no time to think of other stuffs..
it shall remain as an very unforgettable memory of mine.
as i was the second to finish the whole thing, my anxiety and nervousness were soon gone.
i felt great relief.
after that, i watched the others group by group going through the same thing what i had just gone through.
i must say everybody did very well! =)
and jiaying's sight reading was damn good!
felt damn happy for her.

then it was night games.
the story went, there was a dance competition going on in school.
then an excellent ballet dancer called diana (jingwen) was murdered.
there were some suspects namely eleanor, leonie, jiaying, andrea, sushuen and evonne.
so the groups were supposed to find out who the murderer was.
i was at the station with eleanor and rachel at that staircase leading to the canteen.
it was very dark except for the few candles we had lit up only at the first flight of stairs.
we also applied some jelly like green substance on the railings.
each group member had to go up the stairs one by one alone and they were banned from using their torchlights.
at first, many got so freaked out that they refused to go up alone.
things got easier when rachel went downstairs and i went upstairs instead.
then one by one, they climbed up alone.
eleanor would made some eerie sounds and tried to on and off the lights.
then when they were approaching, we would throw down a ballet shoe at them.
usually if we threw at the right time, most of them would scream.
haha such a pleasure to hear them scream. XD
some of the sec ones even cried.
there were also many other creepy stations.
there was one at the cybercafe, the music room, the pe room toilet, the big mirror at the stairs near the choir room, the flag pole etc.
it was pretty scary la.
then it was super.
ate roti prata.
then we washed up, preparing to sleep.
then elaine, cheryl, leonie and me planned to stay up until four together to chat like last year lidat.
haha but leonie already fell alsleep while listening to her ipod. XD
so me, elaine and cheryl went out of the mep room and sat somewhere to talk.
but i felt so tired and sleepy.
so we only managed to talk until three then we went back to sleep.
and wah the aircon was SUPER COLD LA.
i got awakened halfway due to the cold and i kept shivering.
tried my best to go back to sleep.
then i felt someone woke me up to ask whether i was awake.
i opened my eyes and i thought i saw it was cheryl.
i felt weird at first cos i was thinking why was she behind me when she was supposed to be sleeping beside me.
then i just shook my head and fell asleep again.
we woke up at around 7 plus.
then i got to know that it was actually enid who woke me up!
then why when i opened my eyes, what i saw was cheryl?!
so scary!

we ate cereals with milk for breakfast.
i tried eating my cereals with chocolate milk.
it was delicious!
i even tried drinking a little bit of milk mixed with cheryl's orange juice. XP
and i ended up having weird feeling in my stomach throughout the whole day.
then it was movie time!
we watched drumline.
but leonie, cheryl and i didn't watch the movie with them although we heard it was nice.
we stayed inside another room playing pokercards.
played stress with cheryl while leonie was filling up her noms forms.
it had been a tradition to play stress during camp i would say for the three of us.
so the feeling was great.

then it was band prac after lunch.
the sec threes had to go up one by one and conduct at least one page of any pieces of our choice.
i anyhow chose a piece i had found inside dong ran's file.
i conducted sousa.
since it only took few mins, i didn't care that much.
like what elaine said, "we had already gone through something so much bigger like noms. this is nothing to us man!"
woo! then we had section bonding.
then it was debrief and home sweet home!
oh man!
this band camp had left a very deep impression in me.
especially for noms.
i don't think i will ever forget those times we had shared during the two days.
NEVER.
