watched pirates of the caribbean- dead man's chest with cheryl, adel, chia and jiaa at j8 yesterday!
before that, we went to watch the superbands some kind of meeting session for the sake of adel cos got her favourite nic.
but she was late.
by the time she arrived, all the bands had left already. =(
anyway, mi lu bing was damn cute, especially sam!
hope they will win the finals.
lucify, soul and j3 were all not bad too!
then caught pirates.
the whole movie was so niceeee!
the starting was damn hilarious la especially the fruits part and the part when the two cages swinging to and fro. xD
then it got rather scary felt like watching a horror movie.
and i almost cried when captain jack sparrow got eaten by that monster la.
hate elizabeth now. hmph..
can't wait for pirates 3 to release next year.

kept bumping into people after school.
did our section pop video during recess.
damn funny.

cme lesson was probably the only lesson of the day which i had actually listened rather attentively to, partly because ms prabs was just sitting next to me while watching mr koh (not my father) conduct the lesson.
oh btw, he was the ex-vice principal of NJC. WOW.

pirates of the caribbean- dead man's chest
can't wait to watch.
i wonder why most people i know don't appreciate band music that much. =(
band music is NICE.
besides the fact that i'm a band member myself.
haha i dunno why but i like listening to band music or even classical music very very much.
somehow listening to them just makes me feel touched deep down inside. =)
i joined the brass band in my primary school simply because i like music.
i played the bass at that time, which is the TUBA.
well, i found out producing beautiful music wasn't as easy as i thought it would be.
it actually requires alot of determination to practise and perhaps some talent to become a terrific instrument player.
it was hard as i don't have the determination, the talent and any mucial background for beginners like me.
eventually i quit band.
then now in secondary school, fate somehow just got me back in band again.
this time, i play the EUPHONIUM.
there isn't any much difference from the tuba except that it is smaller in size and it sounds.. nicer.
this was what i thought to comfort myself when i first knew that i was going to play this rather unattractive instrument.
it was not very easy to play and i had difficulty in reading notes and hitting the notes at the same time.
furthermore, i had this really fierce and strict senior whom i still feel scared of till now.
so, attending band pracs was like a total nightmare for me and i began to hate euphonium alot.
it was a very struggling process.
now, i'm really glad that i'm slowly beginning to improve and starting to see euphonium as something unique i can be proud of.

she dreamt of wanyi, jermaine and ME!

wanyi was playing with a cat when celeste came and kicked it away.
wanyi cried and yushi wanted to scold celeste but suddenly, a grasshopper appeared and STEPPED on celeste!
when the grasshopper was gone, celeste kicked the cat again and wanyi burst out crying again.
just when yushi was about to teach celeste a lesson, a panther suddenly appeared and went WRESTLING with celeste!
then celeste sang a song and the panther finally ran away.
once again, celeste kicked the cat and wanyi cried.
yushi wanted to slap celeste.
but this time, jermaine appeared....
then yushi claimed that she couldn't remember what happened next cos she was awakened by ME?!

ETUDE XXXI
i am damn happy that i went for the njc band concert at the esplanade today.
it was so cool!
this was definitely the coolest band concert i have ever watched so far. =)
reasons why the concert is cool:
firstly, the esplanade concert hall is such a cool place to hold a band concert. how i wish next year's jubilante concert or syf can be held there.. : /
secondly, bixiu and evelyn were playing too!
thirdly, the cost of my concert ticket is kindly sponsored by Ms Elaine Lim Soo Hui. =D
fourthly, they were so entertaining! there were dancers dancing to their stupid, funny dance steps as the stage band played. the performance by the percussion ensemble was not bad too. making music out of the garbage bins. =)
fifthly, besides those band instruments, there were also the harp, keyboard and electric guitars. so cool rite?!
finally last but not least, they played several brillant pieces. it was such a ear candy. besides, their playing was superb! -two thumbs up- and most importantly. they played EL CAMINO REAL! i was super tuper excited. couldn't wait for them to play our band last year's syf piece! oh mannn! it brought back so much memories..
ahhhh!! XDDDD
i liked the first piece the band played called "Final Fantasy Xtravaganza".
it was nice and touching.
plus the accompaniment of the keyboard.
it was so ahhh!! XD
then there was this "Armenian Dances Part Two" composed by my idol composer Alfred Reed.
no wonder elaine said it sounded so much like el camino real.
there were also other pieces like "Beauty and The Beast", "The Wizard of Oz" etc.
the second last piece was my long awaited El Camino Real!
the oh-so-familiar music was fast, powerful and overwhelming.
then there was the slow and touching part.
soon it was the euphonium solo!
recalled how syarah also played the solo part during last year's syf.
seemed like the njc euphoniumm player also had some difficulty in hitting that last highest note.
this shows that the solo part is really very difficult to play although the notes may look damn easy.
the tempo returned to fast again.
then quick ending, da-la-la-la-BUMP!

i am so pleased with myself now.
cos i had recorded the whole piece down into my phone as they played.
WAHAHAHA! yay! XD
i am now officially a fan of NJCSB!
i am going to watch their next year's concert too! =D
