it has been long since i last updated. lots of things had happened lately.
okay i shall start from jubilate which took place at ucc two weeks ago.
jubilate IV was definitely the best concert i ever had.
i felt so complete because i was there during the opening ceremony(played fanfare to welcome the guest of honour), i was there with the band playing merry widow and i was there during the finale. so i got to sort of like witness how the whole concert took place.
it was my first time joining the finale and the feeling was really really great!
like wow, the big event for all the performing arts groups had finally come to an end.
i felt jubilant! haha
and there was a bit of sadness too as it also marked the end of the last staged performance for all the sec fours. :(
nevertheless, i was happy as i could really feel the bonded-ness of the band on that day. :)
the et section!

hmm move on to band camp in the following week.
i couldn't go for camp (my last band camp!) in the end because on that same day, friday 18th may, i was hospitalised.
first time in my entire life, i actually had to stay in a hospital. okay maybe it wasn't the first time. perhaps i stayed in the hospital before... when i was born.
i was terribly sick and i had difficulty opening my right eye. even when i tried to force it open, i would then have double vision.
till now, i still have no idea what exactly had caused my eyelid to droop.
they say it might be due to the high fever i had the day before, overstress (err i dun think so ba), or maybe sinus?
haiz back to what i was saying about camp, i was damn sad that night because i couldn't be in school to witness the sec three noms. and i was quite disappointed when i heard that dong ran didn't go for camp la! >:(
haiz anw, i would like to thank cheryl, leonie and simin who visited me twice, the et section, elaine, jingwen, enid and jiaying who also took their time off after camp and after school to come down to visit me. :) i am still very touched about it.
the soft toy which leonie, cheryl, elaine and the rest gave me. :) i named them 'i dunno' (the big one) and 'i'm not sure' (the small one). it kept me company during my five days' stay in the hospital. :)
so, i stayed in the hospital for a total of five days and i missed four days worth of lessons.
haiz it isn't really a good thing eh.
i got so much schoolwork to catch up now. :(
oh and i forgot to mention that the hospital food was really disgusting. XP
i lost much of my appetite now, thanks to their food la.
haha but thank goodness, i have recovered. :)
and finally pop!
24th may was also the so-called the sec fours' last day in band. :(
we had the handing over ceremony which started at around 4.30pm.
congrats to grace, our new bm and sara, our new dm! and also congrats to charlyne and haiching, our new et sl and asl! :)
ms sia came down to watch the whole ceremony too! :)
i had a short talk with her. i guess it was the first time and the last time that i would ever get to talk to her again.
initially, i was feeling very sad because there won't be any euphonium sl from now onwards. but i felt much better after talking to ms sia. at least now i can understand how she feels about my three euphonium juniors. :)
although there is no euphonium sl, still, i decided to pass my euphonium badge to dong ran, quite reluctantly.
i had been treating it like a piece of treasure ever since weiying passed it down to me last year. so of course, i couldn't bear to part with it la. haiz hopefully, she will keep it safe and hand it over to kialin next year.
things come and go. i guess i have to learn to let go. :(
ahh! my dear euphonium which had always been with me since sec two! i will miss you! :(
pop celebration after that.
the whole et section went orchard to some restaurant to have dinner.
and then we ate the pop cake which the juniors baked.
haha it was delicious!
after that, i went home while the others stayed over at haiching's house.
the next day, day two!
i joined the section again at j8 and had lunch together at sakae.
then we watched pirates 3!
it was damn nice la!
oh and have i ever mentioned before that i liked davy jones in pirates 2?
i think he is a rather sad character and i just have this great sympathy for him.
so i was very very sad when he died in pirates 3!
stupid will went to stab his heart!! >:( haha
ohno, i think i'm beginning to like davy jones more than jack sparrow now. XO
the whole movie was funny, sad and happy.
oh jack sparrow's father appeared! haha and barbossa became such a nice guy!
the ending was alright, i guess. quite a happy one.
except for the davy jones part! argh. X(
okay then after the movie, we hurry cabbed down to vjc for the band concert.
it was pretty nice. and yupp so this was we celebrated our pop. :)
i realised we haven't took a photo as a section yet. but at least, i did take photo of the whole euphonium section.

haha oh no, i'm already starting to miss band! :(
as you can see, my life revolves very much around band.
from now onwards, i will no longer have any more band stuffs to blog about.
all i can blog about will be about my studies, tests, exams and olevels!
haiz how scary can that be. :(
on a brighter note, i think i have been receiving many presents recently although my birthday is still months away.
there are pop presents, those soft toys and get well soon cards which i received when i was hospitalised, the s.h.e bookmarks wanyi gave me... :)
and priscilla! she bought me the s.h.e latest album, play!
haha it was meant to be my last year's birthday present! haha so sweet. :D
i must say i am really glad to have so many friends who truly care for me and are always there for me, even though most of them like to bully me alot! haha XD
i really dunno how to express my gratitude, even writing a letter is not enough!
haiz okay, i just reminded myself that i still owe many people a letter! :/
oh man, this is such a horribly long post.

at first i find hard to believe that jubilate is just next friday.
like huh, so fast ah? cos i don't feel really prepared yet.
but actually there is really nothing much to practise la since we are just going to play our syf piece again.
and then a couple of weeks later, we are going to step down already.
haiz i'm sure i'm going to miss band very very much! :(
i'm actually feeling bothered over something that doesn't really concern me at all.
weird, isn't it?
but haiz, i feel so helpless also. :/
hmm i shall just wait and see what happens next.
