today is my 6th day in aj and my lst day wearing my new uniform.
i still feel weird whenever i hear things like, "welcome to
AJC", "if you are representing
AJ in this and that...", "....
AJ..., ....
AJ....., ....
AJ.........."
maybe i haven't mentally felt that i am part of aj yet.
but i consider myself lucky to be in there. it is possible that i could be the last 8-pointer to get a place in the science stream.
i am happy i have made some new friends there.
one of my friends in my og happens to be a close friend of my pri sch friend in rv!
haha damn qiao la. my pri sch friend got to know yushi during pae and now i become friends with her friend too.
haha this is such a small small world.
cheryl came to my sch yesterday. i haven't seen her for quite a long period of time ever since the results day. :)
then had dinner with elaine, stacey and zoe at the sumo house. :)
i can't believe stacey is now living in the same area as me! this is the first time i ever have a st nicks friend getting off at the same mrt station with me.
haha i was so excited when i came to know that she lives here now. :D
haiz there's school again tmr but it's undeniable that the feeling of going to school is way much better than going for work. :)

yay i officially declare that i am currently jobless since wed, 13th of feb.
i decided to quit cos i felt the time was ripe to do so. haha. actually my last day of work was supposedly on friday but life is just so unpredictable.
glad that i need not go back to work again.
firstly, my legs are tired.
secondly, i dislike the two managers there. (i found out recently that besides the irritating female manager mentioned previously, there is a other sissy male one too.) they are very alike in some ways- money-faced, naggy, the workers' welfare is the least of their concerns.
thirdly, it is crazy to work in a chinese restaurant esp during this cny period where you have customers streaming in endlessly. that's when everything becomes very chaotic and lots of misunderstanding occur.
talking about cny, i am really lousy in saying auspicious words.
so i got myself to memorise those lines which i was supposed to say when i poured each ingredient onto the
yusheng in front of the customers.
there was once a customer who asked me to say it in english. i was stunned. like how was i going to translate? year year got fish? five blessings approach the door? yellow golds fill the ground?
that would be so embarrassing la.
haha and on the third day of cny when i went to work, i received ang baos from the managers and some of the captains. out of the five ang baos i got, the female manager gave the least amount of money. haha
some other interesting incidents which happened during work:
- on
chu si, (the fourth day of cny) which i deem as My Luckiest Day Ever, i received two bright red ang baos from two different customers for preparing the
yusheng for them.
- on one particular day, which i deem as My Prettiest Day Ever, i was complimented
piao liang twice by two ah mahs, one in the morning and one at night. *shies in disbelief*
- my fellow waiter received an astonishing 18 dollars worth of ang bao from a generous customer after he prepared the
yusheng.
- Pan Shuqing, a mediacorp actress appeared with some unknown ppl for dinner, sending the
peng cai aunties at the back of the kitchen excitedly chattering about how beautiful she looked in person and her recent winning of the Best Supporting Actress at the Stars Awards.
- Chen Weilian, the blind singer came for lunch with his family. i served the food twice on their table! hehe
- i mistakenly refilled the bottles containing red vinegar with the black one, making my supervisor fuming with anger. haha
- a customer who claimed to be a stylist for the hong kong celebrities, commented that i look like a taiwanese and my friend, a korean. haha!
what i have learnt:
*earning money isn't easy
*silence is golden only when you use it in the right way
*good things can always happen twice in the same day to me :D
now i am proud to be preparing to be a student once again.
so please hurry bring my ezlink card back to normal again!
my transportation fees are enough to burn holes in my wallet. :(

People born in the Year of Ram are elegant and highly accomplished in the arts. They seem to be, at first glance, better off than those born in the zodiac's other years. But ram year people are often shy, pessimistic, and puzzled about life. They are usually deeply religious, yet timid by nature. Sometimes clumsy in speech, they are always passionate about what they do and what they believe in. Ram people never have to worry about having the best in life for their abilities make money for them, and they are able to enjoy the creature comforts that they like. Ram people are wise, gentle, and compassionate. They are compatible with Rabbits, Pigs, and Horses.
